What is InvenTree by Blisx?
InvenTree is an inventory system in two halves that share one live database: a manager console in the browser, where you import stock and set the rules, and a phone app your team uses on the floor to add, remove, move and count items. Every plan includes unlimited users.
AI label scanning — no barcodes required
The reason inventory systems fall out of date is data entry. Someone has to type the item in, and eventually nobody does. InvenTree removes that step: point the camera at whatever label is already on the item — printed, manufacturer-issued, or handwritten — and the AI reads the name and details into a new record.
This matters for stock that was never barcoded, which in most real stockrooms is the majority of it. A barcode scanner only helps with items someone has already labelled to a standard. A camera and a model that reads text helps with everything else.
Live counts, not a spreadsheet snapshot
Item counts and running ledgers update in real time as people add and take stock, so two people looking at the same item see the same number. A ledger keeps a starting quantity plus every movement since, which means you can answer “where did it go?” rather than just “how much is left?”
Stocktakes on a phone
Assign locations to people, and each person counts their own area by scanning. Differences between the expected and actual quantity are flagged for review rather than silently overwritten. No printed count sheets, no second round of typing.
DOCTrack — delivery documents that don’t get lost
Most inventory tools ignore the paper entirely. DOCTrack lets you photograph a delivery order and turns the photos into a single clean PDF — the page is whitened while stamps and coloured ink stay readable. Documents are named, grouped, searchable, and can be forwarded to your own email. It solves the problem of the delivery note that goes missing within a week.
Approvals for restricted stock
Some items shouldn’t leave the shelf on one person’s say-so. Any item can be flagged as restricted, which routes it through an approval before the quantity changes, with a full record of who requested and who approved.

How does InvenTree work?
- Bring your stock in. Import your existing Excel file, multi-sheet workbooks included, or build the inventory from scratch by scanning labels in a stocktake.
- Decide what the phone shows. Choose which columns become search filters and how each item card is laid out, with a live preview as you edit.
- Add your team. Everyone signs in with your inventory’s eight-digit app code. Roles decide who can add, remove, transfer or approve.
- Work from the shelf. Add, dispose, transfer and count stock on a phone. Each change updates the live count for everyone and is recorded with who made it.
- Count and export. Run a stocktake location by location, review the differences, and export the result to Excel.

Per-seat pricing pushes companies to buy fewer seats and share logins, which destroys the audit trail and the accuracy at the same time. Pricing on items means adding your whole team costs nothing extra.
What does InvenTree not do?
- No purchasing or accounting. It records stock movements and simple sales, not purchase orders, supplier bills or financial ledgers.
- A stocktake never overwrites live stock. Counts are kept as their own record and exported, so a misread on the floor cannot silently change your inventory. Acting on a difference is your decision.
- The AI does not save anything by itself. It fills the form from the label; the item is saved only when a person taps save.

Common questions
Do I need a barcode scanner?
No. InvenTree reads the label with the phone camera, so it works on items that were never barcoded, including handwritten labels.
How many people can use it?
Unlimited users on every plan. Pricing is based on how many items you track, not seats.
Can I import my existing inventory?
Yes. Excel and CSV import brings your current list in, and you choose which columns become searchable fields, so the layout matches how your team already thinks about the stock.
Does it work offline?
